Psalm 138:6 (NLT)
Though the Lord is great, he cares for the humble, but he keeps his distance from the proud.

Repeatedly in the Bible, we read that God rebukes the proud and always cares for the humble. He stays away from proud people because His very nature rebukes it.

Pride in our hearts is the one thing God will not work with. “Pride leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom” (Proverbs 11:2 NLT). When we have a humble heart, the Lord will entrust us not only with natural riches but with His true treasures from heaven—such as wisdom.

When we are humble, He can pour out His wisdom in us because He knows we will not abuse it. When we use both material and spiritual riches for His purposes, He blesses us even more. Whatever you do in your working life, always guard your heart from pride.

Purpose to stay humble by continually remembering what He did for you and by always thanking Him for everything you have and are. Remember, God cares for the humble.
