It says, "Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits; who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases." And you need to know how very powerful the prayer of agreement is when praying your healing.
Jesus said in Matthew 18:19, "Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven."
When you are praying by yourself and putting yourself in agreement with God's Word, you are agreeing with the Holy Spirit in you for that healing.
You're here on earth, and the Holy Spirit is here on earth inside you. That qualifies for two of you agreeing. And if you're praying with someone else for your healing it still means you must be in agreement, not one of you believing, and the other just hoping.
Agreement is one of the most powerful weapons we have against the devil. Jesus went on to say to His disciples in John 16:24 (and we are His disciples today), "Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full."
I know you know that God can heal you. There is even the possibility that you know that God is willing to heal you. But even that does not do justice to the immense compassion the Father has for you.
It goes so deep that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, to bear all of his diseases, sicknesses, calamities, and of course, the entire punishment for your sins.
So to say God is able, and willing to heal the sick, is the understatement of a lifetime. Rather, try to think of it in this way: "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him..." (2 Chron. 16:9).
In other words, God isn't satisfied just to be able to heal you. He isn't satisfied even to be willing to heal you. He so desires to heal people that His eyes run to and fro throughout the earth looking for someone to show mercy and compassion to. And that someone right now is you!
How do I know that? Because God's word says so! God is looking at you, desiring with all His heart that you would receive what He has already given you. All He needs is for you to believe Him. He has already done the hard part (in that He created your healing over 2000 years ago). All you have to do is receive it.
The Bible does not say "God is Power." It says "God is Love." The devil doesn't mind when people teach about the power of God. Power alone will not help you, and the devil knows that.
However, all that changes the moment your realize the truth that God is not simply all-powerful, but He is so very willing to use His power to help you. That's love, and it's real and personal, and it's from God to you.
Another thing to note is this: don't keep praying and begging and asking God to do for you what He has already done. It would be like asking your husband or wife to marry you, when he or she already has, years ago, or asking for a glass of water when you are already standing there with a full glass of water in each hand.
Healing isn't something out there somewhere that you are trying to get. God already gave it to you, and the devil is trying to steal it from you every moment of every day. God provided everything you could possibly need for salvation and healing, thousands of years before you were ever born!
When you pray, BELIEVE IT'S DONE, RIGHT NOW! To believe means to be fully convinced of it, considering it already done as soon as we have prayed. And then thank God for your healing, whether you feel like it or not.
And keep on thanking Him from now on. It was 1993 when God healed me from cancer, with no treatments, and I'm still thanking Him for it and telling people how wonderful He is.
Don't wait until you see the manifestation of healing before thanking God for it. Pray, believe, then go about your daily business like it's already done—because it is!
