Healing belongs to us as a believer! First of all, when we are born again there are benefits that we inherit as a Christian. Mark 16:18 says that one of the signs that follow us as a believer is the healing power of God. If we understand that scripture; how or why would we lay hands on the sick if we are sick?

I can answer that with the Word of God! James 5:14 says, "Is any among you sick?" If we were to ask that question today in church, most Christians would raise their hands. James 5:14 goes on to say, "Let him call for the elders of the church". As Christians, we release our faith by simply calling the elders. The Bible says, "Let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord."

We must understand that healing belongs to us! In the death, burial, and resurrection Jesus got it for us! We must receive it.

In order for us to receive anything from God, we must receive it by faith. Hebrews 11:6 says, "God is a faith God." In order to have faith, we must understand the Word. The Bible says in Romans 10:17, "so then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word". As you meditate on what the Word of God says about healing, you will release your faith to receive his healing power in your body.

"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health just as your soul prospers:" (3 John 2)

You cannot change your life without changing your mind. We must change our mind when it doesn't line up with the Word. We begin to change our mind, when we take the Word and revolve it around in our mind.

Let's look at Acts 10:38. We can see that sickness and disease is satanic depression. I love the Amplified version of Acts 10:38. It reads, "all who were harassed and oppressed by the power of the devil."

If the devil can keep you ignorant, he can beat you every time. "You are deceived, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God" (Matt. 22:29). "The Word of God is all the power we need" (Rom. 1:16).

I love Psalm 107:20 which says, "He sent his Word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions:" When you get a revelation of the Word of God, healing power is flowing.

Let's look at another scripture that identifies sickness and disease as satanic oppression. Jesus said in Luke 13:16 that "Satan bound her with this sickness". He called this disease "bondage". This same scripture in Modern Language Translation says, "held tied up"!

The Bible says, "you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." (John 8:32).

Now consider Psalm 103:3. Just as we know the first part; that he forgives our sins (by faith we receive). We know and also receive the second part of that verse; he heals all your diseases. Praise God that it is a benefit to be forgiven and healed!

Begin to make this confession everyday, whether you are sick or not:
Father, thank you for healing my body from the top of my head to the soles of my feet, According to the Word of God, I receive my healing. Father, thank you that 1 Peter 2:24 says that "by your stripes I was healed." Thank you Father, that on the cross, Jesus got my healing for me. In Jesus name.
