If you've been praying over some difficult situations lately—situations that make you want to throw up your hands and say, "Lord, I need some help here!"—this article is going to make you happy. It's going to shore up your faith and help you see that heaven's help is here. Bless the Lord!

I'm telling you, I've never in my life been more aware of that help than I am these days. I want to shout with joy the words of the apostle Paul, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ!" (Eph. 1:3).

We truly do have all spiritual blessings! And recently, the Lord has been making me especially aware of one of those blessings in particular—the blessing of angelic assistance.

Ministering Spirits
He began to deal with me about angels very strongly one day some time ago. That day as I was worshipping God in prayer, I was caught up into a place in the spirit. The place was like a rainbow and in it were the most beautiful angels I've ever seen. They were arrayed in white garments, waiting to be commissioned and sent out to do certain works. They were ready to assist the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I thought of Hebrews 1:14 which says about angels, "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?"

Since that day, I've been aware of a definite angelic presence that is with me all the time. Sometimes I see the angel…and sometimes I don't. But I always know he is with me.

Some time ago during a prayer meeting in Branson, Missouri, my awareness of angels was heightened again. Brother Kenneth Copeland was there and as he began to prophesy over the nation, I heard the sound of marching. Then the Lord opened my eyes and I saw two long lines of warrior angels standing along the top of the room.

They were wearing helmets unlike anything I'd seen before and they wore great armor and carried swords. I knew that in response to our prayers and Brother Copeland's prophesy, they were being dispatched to take care of our nation.

Also, the Lord spoke through Billye Brim during a recent meeting and said, "Everything is changing now. From this day forward, angels are being assigned to the Church that have never before been assigned to the Church. And they will accompany you."

A woman who heard that prophecy told Billye later that she saw the room filled with angels, equipped with armor and swords, standing as tall as the ceiling. As Billye says, "We have some new assistants! They've been assigned to take us the rest of the way!"

We Need to be Aware
What does that mean to us as praying people? It means we need to be aware of these heavenly assistants. When we pray, we need to release our faith and believe they are operating on our behalf. We need to be bold to declare the Word, as the Holy Spirit leads, and release them to do their jobs.

I believe we've often done that without realizing in times past when we prayed in tongues. (After all, doesn't 1 Corinthians 13:1 say we speak with the tongues of men and of angels? Why would we speak their language unless they need to understand and respond to our words?)

But for some reason, the Lord is wanting us now to be more aware of it. He wants us to realize that angels are given to us as part of our salvation and He commands us not to neglect that great salvation because it has been given to us to help us escape the dangers of this world (see Heb. 2:1-3).

So these days, as you pray, be especially alert to the fact that God is sending angels in answer to your prayers.

"Rays Of Light"
I remember one particular story that impressed the reality of that truth upon me. It was about a missionary in Burma who had to walk through a dangerous place to pick up medical supplies for his mission.

One day, some robbers decided to lay in wait for him and rob him when he came through. Sure enough, the missionary came upon them—but instead of robbing him, they decided to help him. They walked with him to his destination then helped him carry the medical supplies back home.

When he asked them why they decided to help him they said, "Because 26 men who were lit up with rays of light were accompanying you."

Later, the missionary received a letter from a friend in the United States who had been impressed by the Lord to get a group together to pray for him on that very day. Do you know how many people attended that prayer meeting? Twenty-six!

Psalm 103:20-21 says, "Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure."

Hallelujah! Let's not leave those angels sitting idly by waiting for an assignment. Let's get busy praying and releasing our faith in the Word of God. Let's give the angels something to do!
