Can storms hear? We know Jesus spoke to the wind and said to the water,

“Peace, be still!” and they obeyed Him.

“But, Brother Copeland, that was Jesus.”

I know. That’s what His disciples said. Let’s look at it.

Mark 4:35-41 says:
And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith? And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
First, read verse 40. Remember Mark 11:22? Jesus commanded His disciples to “Have faith in GOD!” Then, He said, “Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed....” The big thing in Mark 11:22-23 is the word whosoever. In every case in the New Testament, the key issue is not the person speaking but “Where is your faith?”

Let’s go back to the base, or foundation, on which all this rests—the Kingdom process of authority and power. Jesus said it again and again.

Let’s look at John 14:10:
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
Then again, in John 5:19, 30, He said, “I can of mine own self do nothing.” He didn’t say, “I won’t.” He said, “I can’t.” He only said what He heard His Father say, and the Father who dwells within Him did, and does, the work. Again, the key is not the person speaking. The key issue is FAITH IN GOD. That’s the Kingdom process. You can’t change the process. That’s the way the kingdom of God works.

When the report of bad weather comes, don’t wait and see what’s going to happen. Start speaking to it, NOW! Go outside, if you can. Shout! Don’t just talk to God about it. Speak to the elements. Say, “You don’t come to my house! I declare THE BLESSING WALL up and around me, my family, my property and all that’s mine!” Forget about what other people think. They already think we’re
crazy. That’s a form of fear, and if the devil can get you to back off, he’ll try to destroy what’s yours and blame it on God.

Is God behind all these devastating storms and other disastrous happenings? Absolutely NOT!
Jesus said in John 10:10:
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they  might have it more abundantly.
Look at it in The Amplified Bible:
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
The line is drawn. The thief is not doing God’s work, and God is not doing the thief’s work. The devil tried to get God to put His hand on Job, but God refused.

There is a wall between the curse, where all these things come from, and THE BLESSING that’s come on the gentiles through Christ Jesus. It’s called the SHIELD OF FAVOR in Psalm 5:12, and the blessing wall in Job 1:10. The Word of God very clearly states it this way in Romans 8:2:
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
You and I live in THE KINGDOM OF GOD under THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE. Not after we die and go to heaven. We’re in that Kingdom, now! However, that law demands that the Body of Christ take its place of authority under THE KING, Jesus, and enforce THE BLESSING laws in His Name.
It’s not His place to enforce the laws of the Kingdom in the Earth. It’s ours. We can’t relegate to Him what He has commanded us to do.

The power is in His words. When He commands us to do something, that command is our authority to do it. The command then, has within it, the empowerment to carry it out. “Let’s go to the other side” authorized Jesus’ disciples and empowered them to speak to the wind and say to the sea the same words He said and expect, by faith in the Father, to get the same results. If you and I don’t take that command authority and use it in our realm of authority, our God-given rights of redemption from the curse just lie unenforced. We’re in the time of the end. It’s our time to rise in faith as soldiers in the army of The LORD and BE who we really are—THE CHURCH TRIUMPHANT! That’s who
we are, and that’s what we are. And, Jesus is LORD over all this Earth, and all that’s in it belongs to us!
