When our little grandson, Preston, came to visit us one summer, he would not swim in the big swimming pool. He would just get in the hot tub and walk around the step that goes all the way around it because he was afraid.

He hadn't developed the confidence to get out in the deep. I'd have to get him a "slip 'n slide" and a little kiddy pool to play in and floaters to wear around his arms and waist.

During this past year, from one summer to the next, he had taken swimming lessons in school and was able to jump off the diving board and swim under water from one end of the pool to the other. He would come up just long enough for air and down he'd go again.

We were all clapping and shouting and telling him how wonderful he was and that he was going to be the Olympic champion and the praise made him feel like the greatest swimmer in the world.

In one year's time, he had increased in his confidence and his ability to just jump into the pool, and when Preston made the decision to do it, he went all the way. He didn't just swim in the shallow end, he jumped off the diving board and swam the length of the pool.

We Need To Jump In!
Well, that's the way it is with the anointing. We don't have to just wade in the anointing around our ankles, God is telling us, "Come on in! There's more for you! You can do more! You can swim further." All we have to do is get out there and do it. It's within our realm to determine how far we'll go in God.

If you've invited the Holy Spirit to come and live and dwell in your life, then He is abiding in you. Who is the Holy Spirit? He is the Anointed One. He is the One Who produces the anointing in your life.

So, you already have the ability to tap into this same anointing that the widow woman had in 2 Kings 4:1. Why did Elisha tell her to shut the door behind her?

The multiplication takes place behind closed doors in your house; in the prayer closet! It's a private thing. It's an intimate thing. It's just between you and God the Father! So all of the responsibility for the multiplying of the oil (anointing) is up to us.

How much time are we spending behind closed doors with the Father? We have to shut the world out and be alone with God and allow the anointing to multiply.

We're all confronted with problems that we have to get victory over, and if we don't spend time in our prayer closet and allow the anointing of God to be multiplied in our lives, then those burdens of problems and those yokes will not come off of us. The anointing causes us to walk through life stress free!

Well one of the most valuable things God has given you, next to the Blood and next to the Name of Jesus, is the ability to pray in the Holy Ghost. That's the way you stir that anointing up.

So I strongly encourage you to get prepared by spending time in your prayer closet. Don't let stress and pressure get your joy, let the anointing rise up and cause you to be the strength and the joy of your family.

Tap into that anointing. How is that done? It's done by diving into it and not holding back any longer. Visit your prayer closet today and seek out the Holy Spirit.
