Listen to me; blessed are those who keep my ways...Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors.
(Prov. 8:32,34)
Learning to hear God's voice isn't a one-time event. It requires daily communication with Him. I believe we are to pursue hearing His voice as if our very survival depended on it. John 5:25 KJV says, "The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live."

When Jesus says that these "shall live," He's not talking about barely making it from one day to the next. He's talking about developing intimate communication with God.

God has created you to accomplish great things, but it's going to take hearing from Him to be able to do them. The good news is that you were made to hear God's voice!

Deuteronomy 4:36 KJV says, "Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee." Just as children must hear the voice of their mother so that she can instruct and encourage them, you were made to hear your Father's voice.

God is speaking all the time. It's up to us to tune in with our spiritual ears to hear what He is saying through His Word. He wants us to hear Him so that He can divinely direct us. Determine today to hear God's voice, and as He speaks, obey.1

Claim Psalm 85:8 as your own by saying, "I will hear what God the LORD will speak to me today!" Then tune in and listen.
