Godliness is holiness. This does not mean just living morally according to the world's standards and the basic standards of the Bible. It means living holy before God, walking in supernatural holiness. In other words, it is God-likeness, or being like God.
Did you know that you can walk in that supernatural holiness?
You should add to your faith these God-like qualities: act like God acts, talk like God talks, and think the way God thinks, as He has taught us in His Word. This comes as our mind is being renewed.
In God's Word we are told to "present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" (Rom. 12:1-2).
As you learn to think the way God thinks by spending time in His Word and beginning to think His way, you will strip off all the old ways you were taught to think.
Now you cannot add these God-like qualities to your faith if you do not spend enough time in His Word. You must have the full, exact knowledge of God to find out what all these God-like qualities are.
That's the intent of faith. God is saying, "I have given you this great faith. Now add the seasoning of godliness." So, begin using your faith now to walk in holiness.
