God has a predetermined plan for your life.

He has called, justified, and glorified you (Rom. 8:30). He has called you to glory and virtue (2 Peter 1:3). What does it mean to be called to glory and virtue?

Paul is saying God has put His glory in you when you became a Christian. The Holy Spirit lives on the inside of you. The Holy Spirit is a gift from God to help you lead a life of virtue that gives glory to God (John 16:5-15).

For Our Glory, Or His?
When we do things that bring glory to God, we are fulfilling His plan for our lives. Doing good works and living triumphantly through Christ brings glory to God.

Living a life that expresses the power of God brings glory to God.

When you become a Christian, God fixed you spiritually to hold His power. You were broken and helpless spiritually before Christ. After Christ removed your sins, He gave you a new spiritual life.

He put His glory and His power on the inside of you. He has told you He has given you all you need to be successful in this life. He wants you to experience His abundant life. You need to activate the power of the Holy Spirit on the inside of you.

You activate the power of the Holy Spirit by gaining knowledge about God and then acting in faith upon what you know.
