We've got to gravitate to the expertise of God's Word! There is experience, but then there is expertise. God's Word, the Bible, will set us straight in our thinking.
One of the biggest ways a devil can get in and steal, kill, and destroy is through ignorance. The Bible says, "My people perish because of lack of knowledge." Most people just don't understand the Word's way.
They only understand their experiences and they may understand what somebody else is telling them about some experiences. But there is a danger here. If it's not based on the Word of God, it's just an experience!
If you're ignorant about God's Word, then you will believe the following statement that I heard from a teenager, "Well, I believe that God allows things to happen just to teach me a lesson."
Oh boy...Here we go again.
Have you ever heard this one? "Well, if God is this great big loving God, why doesn't He just get rid of disease. Why doesn't He just make a perfect world?"
Well...He did, thank you very much! This world started out perfect, but because He wasn't a dictator, He gave man a choice. However, Man (Adam) decided that his choice was to follow sin rather than God.
And the result of those consequences is why bad things happen.
