I want more of God in my life. Is there anything I can do to cause this to happen?

Yes! All of us have the degree of God in our lives that corresponds to the depths of our desires for God. You and I determine the measure of God and the amount of His direction in our lives.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
(Matt. 7:7-8 KJV)
If you ask, seek, or knock, it will be given; you'll find, and it will be opened! If you're not receiving from God, if you are not finding God, or if doors aren't being opened, then you haven't been asking, seeking, or knocking.

The word "seeking" (God or the things of God) is of major importance. If you desire God and seek Him, you'll find Him. If God is not moving in our lives, it's because we've not sought Him, or given Him the right of way to move on our behalf.

This same principle is illustrated in James 4:8 which declares,
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
(James 4:8 KJV)
If we desire God's presence in our lives, all we have to do is draw near to Him. We simply need to desire more of Him. God gives us as much of Him as we desire. If any of us takes a step toward God, He'll take a step toward us.

If we become satisfied, then we'll have no more of God than we currently have. I'm convinced that there is more of God to be experienced. Seek Him and desire more of Him. I know that He will do His part.
