James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."

How would you like to be on top in every area of your life? We face issues in our lives and sometimes it looks as though we are on the bottom. We don't understand why adverse circumstances are happening.

For example, a big blow-up on the job may come up from nowhere. Perhaps you are having challenges in your marriage. Maybe you are having financial challenges. Well, for every issue you face in life, there is an answer—the right answer—in the Word of God.

Our text says that if you lack wisdom, ask God. Exactly what are you asking God for? The word 'wisdom' means insight into the true nature of things. It is saying to ask God for true insight about the matter. Ask Him to show you how the enemy is coming.

Ask Him to show you how to communicate with your spouse. Ask Him to show you from where did this financial situation come, and how to correct it. He will tell you. If you are in the dark about a situation, Jesus will bring you light, the wisdom of God, insight into the true nature of the matter.

God gives you wisdom so you can know what to do. But how do you obtain that wisdom? As we read further in James chapter 1, you will see that you must ask in faith. Ask believing that godly wisdom is for you. Also ask believing that God willingly gives you insight, because He wants you to have victory over every situation.

Ask understanding your relationship with God, your Father, and wisdom—godly wisdom—shall be given to you. You will know what to do in every situation, and will be on top of every circumstance.

Take time right now and ask God for wisdom concerning your situation. Now, lift up your hands right where you are and give God thanks and praise for giving godly wisdom to you.

From now on, don't say, "I don't know what to do." You have asked God. Now you can say by faith, "I do know what to do." By doing this God will bless you with His treasures of wisdom for your life.
