We discussed in yesterday's "Bible Answers" why UFO beings can't be aliens from another planet. I believe without any shadow of doubt that the devil would love mankind to believe that there is life on other planets.
This would (in most people's minds) discredit the creation theory of the Bible and the existence of God. The Bible teaches us that the Anti-Christ, when he comes, is going to deceive the world with lying wonders, signs, and power.
The coming of the lawless one (Anti-Christ) is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.It is possible that the world will be deceived through the belief of aliens from outer space. It is also possible that the devil could use this phenomenon to deceive the people of the earth.

For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

I know that this goes against the traditional thoughts of the church, but it's something to think about. The Christian shouldn't be frightened by the announcement of these sightings, but one should realize that it is part of the great deception.
