I'm a Christian in the military and I'm very fearful about going to war. Can you help me?

Let me begin your answer with verses of Scripture, that state a powerful truth about God's promises:
For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by me and Silas and Timothy, was not "Yes" and "No," but in him it has always been "Yes."

For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God.
(2 Cor. 1:19-20)
According to the above Scriptures, the Christian can claim any Bible promise, as his own, and God will honor it or bring it to pass. In light of this, let's look at some Bible promises concerning war and fighting in battle.
You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you make the Most High your dwelling - even the LORD, who is my refuge - then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent.

For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
(Ps. 91:5-12)
This is one of many Scriptures where God promises protection to the one who loves Him and serves Him. This promise is for the Christian. I would meditate on this promise and others. They will cause fear to go.
