"If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you" (John 15:7).

The prophet Jeremiah talks about how the Word is just like fire shut up in your bones. When you first get a revelation of the Word of God, it's like fire on the inside of you. But you've got to keep the fire burning. You leave it alone and the fire will burn itself out. Keep that Word like fire in your bones.

"Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip" (Heb. 2:1).

This is how people lose their healing. You have people come forward and have hands laid on them, and they receive their healing. But you see them two weeks later and they're sick again.

They let that Word slip. Instead of keeping that Word like fire on the inside of them, the fire was blown out. Now they've got to go back in the Word - it'll be easier to get the revelation back - but it never should have happened like that.

We have to learn how to abide in the Word. Living by the Word is a powerful lifestyle, because the Word of God is the power of God.

"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success" (Josh. 1:8).

You should always be speaking the Word of God. You should be speaking the Word of God over your body, finances, children and job everyday. Speak the Word of God and speak that only. Don't speak doubt, or what Satan tries to tell you.

What happens with people is they'll come forward and get healed, but on the way back to their seat Satan tells them, "Ha ha, you didn't get healed," or "so-and-so hurts." And they'll say, "My arm hurts, it didn't work."

It comes out their mouth and that's it, because they believe it. You need to be speaking the Word; make it a part of your lifestyle. Constantly speaking the Word of God over yourself and your body and your life.

That's why it's good to wake up in the morning and have some confessions that you speak over your life. You don't need to read five or ten pages, but it's good to just have it in front of you constantly.

And what will happen if you do that is, eventually you'll start to wake up and won't even need to see it anymore; you'll be walking around saying - "I'm blessed in the city and field, money comes to me from every direction; I'm a giver and therefore God deals with men to give unto me; by his stripes I am healed; Jesus bare my sicknesses and my infirmities; his word says by His stripes I was healed."

You'll be walking around saying that, and that's revelation knowledge to you. You don't even have to read anything, it's real to you. Somebody says - everybody's got the flu this year and you'll probably get it too. "Not me, I'm healed!" Because it's on the inside of you. That will keep the fire burning.

Read Joshua 1:8 again. Notice where it says, "for then." See, this is the thing we do sometimes. We read about being prosperous and being successful, but we don't do the part that has to happen before that. He says - if I do these first two things, if I meditate and keep the Word in my mouth, then I'll be prosperous and successful.

And he's not talking about just one time, he's talking about constantly being successful and prosperous. This is how to keep the fire burning, by meditating in the word of God day and night.

What that meditating does is it keeps the Word alive for you. You may not have to meditate always on healing scriptures. You may be just meditating, just reading through the book of Luke, one chapter a day, meditating on it. You'll find in just your regular daily meditation you'll get bits about healing and prosperity and everything you need. And what that will do is keep that Word rooted in you. And a consistent root equals a consistent fruit. It's that simple. Just like if there is no root, there's no fruit; consistent root equals consistent fruit.

"How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying" (1 Cor. 14:26).

I want you to notice that these believers were coming together, and every time they came together somebody had a revelation. They had something because they've been in the Word of God.

God wants you to get a revelation about healing, walking in love, and a revelation about everything. But once you get a revelation, don't stop there, come back again and get an even greater revelation. God expects you to go from revelation to revelation. That's what living by the Word is all about.

And let me tell you something, it is so much fun. I love it because God is just showing himself even greater and it's just gratifying to my spirit. God says - hey, I don't want you just to get enough to survive, I want you to learn more and more about Me.

It's kind of like what the angels do in heaven, every time they go around the throne they see a different facet of God and they're saying - Holy, holy, holy! And every time you get a revelation of the Word of God, the light comes on. You see something that you've never seen before, and you can say - Holy, holy, holy! Because you're seeing another side of God.

That's what He wants you to do from here to eternity. A million years from now, you may sit down to talk to me and you'll get another revelation about the Word of God. You'll say - Wow, I never saw that before. God says - I want you to go from revelation to revelation.

There should be a time in your life where you do an intense study on healing, prosperity, love, faith, and on the anointing. There should be a time in your life where you do an intense study on all these subjects. You just get all the stuff you can on prosperity, or walking in the love of God, and you just drench yourself in it. You get tapes and books, and you're reading the Word of God and finding scriptures. There should be a time in your life where you do that. Just doing that will change your life in that area forever, it will change you forever.

Some of you may say, "Well, I don't get that much enjoyment out of it yet." Keep going! You'll reach a point where it's like a gusher every time because it's from God. It feeds the spirit man.

It's just like eating fried chicken and saying this is good - only it's better. There's a time when you should do an intense study on every subject in the Word of God. You should just let the Holy Spirit lead and guide you, and then dive in like you've never done before. It will change you forever.

"My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life" (Prov. 4:20-23).

Notice once again, the Word of God is life to those that find it. That's when it's like fire. Once you start finding that scripture, you're going to get the power!

"Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life." Why would I need to keep my heart? He's saying keep my heart with all diligence - making a constant effort to keep and protect my heart. The reason why I'm doing that is because Satan is going to come against it.

First of all he wants to make sure the Word doesn't get in your heart. But he also wants to get you to a point where you have doubt and fear, where your heart is troubled, where you've got worry in your heart. He's coming against you. And it says here - Keep your heart with all diligence for out oh your heart flows the issues of the forces of life. When you got the Word abiding in you then you speak with faith.

Let me read something to you quickly that I believe I got from Gloria Copeland. "Faith comes by hearing. One can hear once and get healing, but for one to live a lifestyle of health and prosperity he must develop his faith."

I don't know if that was from Gloria Copeland but it's good anyway. "He must develop his faith." Notice that. You can get faith to get healed, but for you to live that lifestyle, you've got to develop your faith.

How do you do that? Read Proverbs 4:20: "My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings."

This is the law of receiving right here. Doing these things, attending to His words, giving His Word attention. That even includes when the Word of God is being preached. "Incline thine ears unto my sayings."

See, these certain things will help us to keep the Word of God being life and health to our flesh. He wants His Word to continually be life to your flesh all the days of your life, so that when sickness comes against you, or you may have a symptom come against you or some type of pain; what immediately rises up out of your spirit is faith. And then you speak to that situation with some force behind your words.

We must learn how to live by the Word, how to abide in the Word. That will help you to be prosperous, to live in health, and victorious all the time. I don't know about you but that's what I want. I don't want to win and lose, win and lose. I want to win, win, win; I want to win every time.

"Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit" (Matt. 12:33).

The only way I'm going to bring forth good fruit is if I have the Word of God rooted in me. And that's not just about prosperity or healing - God wants you to have those, too - but this is about love, peace and joy, the whole Word of God. That's why you want to get as much as you can, because the more that's in you, the more fruit you'll bare.

"O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh" (Matt. 12:34).

You want to put the word of God in your heart in abundance. You want to get to a point where it will be just as hard for you to get sick as it once was for you to get healed. That's the point you want to reach.

"A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned" (Matt. 12:35-37).

That tells you something about your words. Your words are extremely important. You are defeated because of what you say, and you win because of what you say. The word of God says simply - you have what you say, whether it's good or bad. That's a principle this earth was built on.

Let me leave you with something. The life of faith equals a life of health. The life of faith equals a life of wealth. That's good too isn't it? A life of faith equals a life of victory. The last thing; a life of faith equals a life of being free. A life of health, wealth, victory and freedom.

I don't know about you, but I'm convinced that I'm going to abide in the Word, and have His Word abide in me, because I want to live a life of faith and I want to have the God kind of life. A life of victory in my own life.
