Angels are God's spirit messengers (Heb. 1:14). Everyone has at least one guardian angel (Matt. 18:10).

Angels are special creations. The Bible says there are tens of thousands (Dan.7:10).

Angels are spirits. They are invisible. However, there have been times when God has allowed people to see angels.

Angels are powerful creatures (2 Thess. 1:7). But they are not all-powerful like God. At one time Lucifer, a top-ranking angel, led a rebellion against God. He and his followers were cast out of Heaven. Lucifer becamse Satan. His followers became demons.

Angelic Activities
Angels keep busy. It's good they don't have to take time to sleep.
  • Praise God (Isa. 6:1-4)
  • Deliver God's messages to people (Matt. 1:20)
  • Help God's people (Ps. 91:11)
  • Punish God's enemies (Acts 12:21-23)
  • Explain God's plans (Dan. 10:13-14)
  • Bring answers to prayer (Luke 1:13)
  • Rejoice over people who turn from their sins to God (Luke 15:7-10)
The angel Gabriel told Mary that Jesus was going to be born. The archangel Michael is the commander in chief of God's army of angels.

Angels may be disguised as ordinary people. Abraham entertained three visitors and later realized they were angels (Gen. 18:1-2, 19:1).
