The voice of the Lord is upon the waters; the God of GLORY thunders… The voice of the Lord is powerful: the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars… The voice of the Lord splits lightning… The voice of the Lord makes the wilderness tremble…The voice of the Lord makes the hinds (female red deer) bring forth their young, and His voice strips bare the forests, while in His temple everyone is saying, Glory!
(Ps. 29:3-9 AMP)
… in His temple doth every one speaks of His glory.
(Ps. 29:9)
God is called the “God of Glory” in Acts 7:2.

In Ephesians 1:17, God is the “Father of Glory”.

In Psalm 24:7-10, He is the King of Glory”.

In 1 Corinthians 2:8, Jesus is the “Lord of Glory”.

First Peter 4:14 says, “…the Spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you.”

In Hebrews 2:10, we see that Jesus died to bring “many sons into glory”.

In 1 Corinthians 2:7, the Apostle Paul says of his revelation, “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.” Jesus is the Lord of Glory and came that we might enjoy the same glory (John 17:22-24).

The Glory… Contend, Contain, Carry
Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to His saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the GLORY of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory…. (Col.1:26- 27)

God has called us in the new covenant to be carries of the glory. We contain and carry the glory of Jesus. The glory of God is one of the most outstanding characteristics about God. It literally His manifested presence. Even though God is everywhere, His presence is not manifested everywhere.

At this time we must lift our voice and contend for the glory of God to be manifested in this generation. As we lift our voice and speak of His glory, there will be a radical change of scenery in our lives today.

Listen! I hear the voices of someone shouting, “Make a road for the Lord through the wilderness…  The glory of the Lord will be seen by all mankind together.” The Lord has spoken—it shall be. The voice says, “Shout!”   Isaiah 40:3-6 – Living Bible

The church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a glorious church. We carry the glory of the Lord in these last days. The prophet Habakkuk saw the vision of glory: For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea. – Habakkuk 2:14

Riches In Glory… Tap Into The Treasury
One commentary I read defined the glory this way: Wealth, Numbers, Commerce, Power, Wisdom, Promotion, Superiority, Dignity, Authority, Nobility, Splendor, Valor, Magnificence, Extraordinary Privileges, and Advantages.

Whenever we say “glory”, we are including all the goodness of God. We speak of His glory and carry His glory. This is why Satan hates us and tries to hinder us, but he cannot succeed because “Greater is He that is in you than he is in the world,” (1 John 4:4).

My God shall supply all of your need according to His riches in “Glory” by Jesus Christ (Philippians 4:19). Our prayers, faith, and giving tap into God’s treasure… Glory! The New Testament word for glory is “Doxa.” It is the light of the Gospel that shines and dispels all darkness and all the works of the devil.

Summary Points:
  • The Glory of God is one of the most outstanding characteristics about God.
  • Even though God is everywhere, His presence is not manifested everywhere.
  • Our prayers, faith, and giving tap into God’s treasury… Glory!
