Malachi 3:16 (AMP) says, Then those who feared the Lord talked often one to another; and the Lord listened and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who reverenced and worshipfully feared the Lord, and WHO THOUGHT ON HIS NAME.

There is a book of remembrance written in heaven for those who talk about the Lord and think on His Name. When the Word is shared and the goodness of the Lord talked about and thought on, it is recorded in a book of remembrance.

All of us are tempted to think the wrong thoughts. However, if we will keep in mind that a book of remembrance is written in heaven, it would affect our thoughts. We should exercise a godly restraint where thoughts are concerned.

As Christians, Satan is our enemy, and he wants to defeat us. He doesn't want us to read the Word or hear the Word because he knows that knowledge will bring defeat for him. He wants to control our thought life.

It is in our thoughts that the battle begins. The thoughts come, but we must choose which thoughts to dwell on. We have to actively cast down the thoughts that are not in line with the Word of God.

Philippians 4:8 gives a wonderful frame of reference by which to judge our thoughts. Our instructions are to think on what is true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report.

Proverbs 23:7 says, As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. If you think negative thoughts and dwell on them, it will come to pass in your life. When thoughts of worldly temptations, fear, worry and insecurity come against your mind, cast down those imaginations and bring them into obedience to the Word of God. When you think on the Word of God, the strength of God, and the energizing power of the Holy Spirit are at work within you.

It takes diligence to work on our minds. Our minds must line up with the Word of God in order for us to be successful in life. To think in line with the Word is to have the mind of Christ. The Bible is our standard, guide, or frame of reference by which we judge our thoughts and actions. The Word of God is our final authority. I admonish you to THINK ON THE LORD!
