Why is it important to read my Bible?

There are many reasons for reading the Bible. One reason is that the Bible is the only book that contains the absolute truth. Notice what Jesus said regarding the contents of the Bible.

"Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth" (John 17:17).

The Word of God is truth! There is no other source from which we can learn the truth on every subject. We live in a time when people are searching for the truth. They can find it in the Word of God.

Notice what Jesus said will happen to a person who learns the truth that's found in the Word of God.
To the Jews (includes any believer) who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.
(John 8:31-32)
The truth that's found in the Word of God will set us free when we come to know it. The Bible is designed to free mankind from every type of bondage and fear.

God has given us a supernatural book that has the ability to free us as it establishes us in the truth. I would suggest that every person begin to have a daily reading time in the Scriptures. This will bless your life in every area.
