"The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant" (Ps. 25:14 KJV).

Having a revelation of what God's covenant is all about is part of operating in the secret place. Those that fear the Lord will be in a place to receive that revelation.

To fear the Lord means that you hate evil, pride, arrogance, the evil way and the forward mouth. When you fear the Lord, (some Bible references clarify Psalm 25:14) "…he will show them His covenant to make them aware of it."

In other words, knowing the Word places you in the secret place. The Word is anointed. And the Word works. The Word makes you free. But, if you don't have any revelation of the Word, if you don't understand the Word then you can't walk in it, nor can you receive the benefit of it. Getting revelation of the Word puts you into the flow of the secret place of protection.

Certain things happen when a believer gets revelation of the Word of God. I'll use myself as an example. When I got revelation of the name of Jesus, then I was able to enjoy the benefit of safety for my life.

When I found out about the blood and the power of the blood, then I knew how to put the blood of Jesus over me, my family, and over everything that concerns me, every day. That's being in the secret place.

Revelation comes from sitting under anointed teachers who teach the Word, which is why you ought to have a church home that teaches the Bible. It also comes from spending time with the Holy Spirit and studying the Word of God.

God's secret is not available for everybody. He intends for every person to be able to have access to it, but you have to have a key to open the door. And that key is being in right standing with God.

All of the blessings and provisions of Psalm 91: long life, defense, enemies falling before you, angels operating in your behalf, are triggered by your being in the secret place of the most High. That is a place of prayer and a place of praise; it is a place of operating in revelation of the Word. And the secret place in God is the safest place to be.
