And when the man went on eastward with a measuring line in his hand he measured a thousand cubits and he caused me to pass through the waters. Waters that were ankle deep. Again he measure a thousand cubits and he caused me to pass through the waters, waters that reached to the knees. Again he measured a thousand cubits and he caused me to pass through waters, waters that reach to the loins. Afterward he measure a thousand and it was a river that I could not pass through for the waters had risen, waters to swim in a river that could not be passed over or through."
(Ezek. 47:3-5)
"Pastor Scott, What on earth do these verses have to do with me?"

Glad you asked!

We need to get to the point where it's impossible to get out of the river of God! I'm so hungry for God and I'm so deep in the things of God that I don't ever want to try to find the riverbank again! I'm not even trying to dry off! Why should I?

Man, I want to get to the point where I'm a pruned. (Ewwwww!)

Think about it! Do you remember when you were little and you sat in the bathtub too long? You got all those little wrinkles all over your fingers and toes. Remember that? I want to be like that with God. ONE BIG PRUNE! I want to be to the point where my skin is almost flopping off because I've been in there so long.

Remember, there's not one person that is NOT worthy enough to be in that river. It's because of the position that we have in God and because we are in right standing with Him. We've been made righteous through Jesus Christ!

When you really think about it, if we want to, we can have everything that God wants for us. Is that kewl or what? Nothing held back. No holds barred. He wants us to have every single thing promised in His Word. He is not a respecter of any person (Acts 10:34).
