There is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun. It is not a fairy tale; it is a reality. Matthew 16:26 reads, "For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?"

Revelation 20:15 declares, "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." May the things of Heaven become more real to you than the things of this world. In comparison to eternity, this side of eternity is short. God loves you with an everlasting love and His plans for you are good. To have godly success, our passions and purposes must be established by the Lord. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will deposit the desires in your heart that He has for you. Live a consecrated life unto the Lord.

A consecrated life is not a selfish life. A consecrated life asks, "Lord, what would you have me to do today," instead of asking, "Lord, what will You be doing for me today." In living a life set apart for the Master's use, you will find yourself accomplishing that which counts for eternity; souls shall be saved. Choose the consecrated life. Choose the obedient life. Choose the life that adds and contributes to that which truly counts.
