So how do you stay stirred up about God? How can you get God's gift and calling to the forefront of your life?

This is huge—are you ready?

By having an intimate relationship with God on a daily basis!

Let's look at Proverbs 3. I want you to grab hold of this; this is going to be awesome. You know, we've probably heard Proverbs 3:5-6 so many times that we're blue in the face. That's OK, because we're going to look at it in a new light:
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
(Prov. 3:5-6 NKJV)
Now let's look at two words from that passage. First of all, let's examine the word "ways."

The Hebrew word for ways is "derek."

The word "ways" from this passage means, "certain opportunities a person may encounter on a recurring basis."

The most common persistent event in our life every day is what? Now think about this a minute (I just gave it away).

The most common recurring event in our life is every new day! Am I right? Think about it…we get up in the morning and it's not the same day as yesterday—it's a new day. It's recurring!

Oh that's deep, Pastor Scott…well just wait, because it gets better.

Let's take a look at the word "acknowledge." Grab hold of this one. The Hebrew word for acknowledge is "yada" (as in "yada, yada, yada").

It means, "to know by observation, investigation, reflection, study or first-hand experience." The highest form or level of "yada" is direct, intimate contact.

So, this answers our original question, how can you get God's gift and calling to the forefront of your life?

The answer now seems simple.

Have direct, intimate contact with God—every single day.

Stay stirred!
