But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.
(1 Cor. 15:57)
Jesus Is Our Victory!
Often we pay so much attention to our circumstances and the situations we find ourselves in that we lose sight of our victory in Jesus. We read the papers and listen to those who are breeding fear and uncertainty with their words. We begin to waver and doubt. Insecurity gets a hold on our minds. This is not God!

God has not given us a spirit of fear. He has not given us a spirit of cowardice. God, in Christ, has given us a spirit of power and love and of a disciplined, sound mind (2 Tim. 1:7)!

We are meant to be a bold, brave people. A people that are unafraid and have unwavering discipline. A people who possess a singleness of mind that will not be deprived of victory.

Victory is appropriated by faith!

When it looks like we've lost; when it looks like we've been beaten; when the bills aren't paid; when the kids are "doing their own thing"; when we have pain in our body; when China clamps down on the Christians, we know that we have the Victory.

How? By faith!

Faith in God and what He has said concerning the situation or circumstance we find ourselves in.

Faith Brings Victory!
If we know the God of the Bible we know that He has already wrought our victory. It is a done deal!
Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].
(Heb. 11:1 AMP)
We can count on our victory because the Word of God says that God has given us victory in Jesus! We no longer have to "see" the victory hoped for before we will believe that it is ours.

Faith comes when we realize that what God has said in His Word applies to us personally! We must allow the Word of God to permeate our being. It has to get way inside. It must gain entrance and become a part of us. "The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple" (Ps. 119:130).

Once we understand this principle we will begin to rejoice and sing before we "see" our Victory. This will be easy because we will have knowledge of what God has already done concerning our condition.

"Oh, sing to the LORD a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory (Ps. 98:1)."
