"Therefore, my dear ones, as you have always obeyed [my suggestions], so now, not only [with the enthusiasm you would show] in my presence but much more because I am absent, work out [cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete] your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling…" (Phil. 2:12a AMP).

As long as you're in training camp, the devil has you where he wants you. He knows you can't do him any damage there. But when you get in the game— watch out! You can do him some serious damage. So get in the game where the action is.

Take the game of football for example. The team's aim is to get this little pigskin, oblong ball and carry it through much opposition and through the goalposts at the far end of the field to score points. That's what all the hype in football is about— getting to the goal.

God has a goal for you. Your goal is to win souls. And as in football, you are to run toward the goal through much opposition, not away from it. Running away will score points for the opposing team.

Nor can you stop in the middle of the field, become totally confused, and lose your direction. You have to focus on the direction you're running because players are positioned to take the ball from you and stop you from getting to your goal— that's an interception.

Imagine yourself on God's team and you make an amazing interception. You intercept the football from the devil and deliver it to God. Well that's exactly what you do spiritually when you witness. You intercept souls from Satan and deliver them to God.

Here's fair warning though, the devil can make interceptions too. For example, you're running for the play, then someone says something to offend you, and while you're focusing on the comment, the devil intercepts and takes that person the other way because you lost sight of the goal. Don't allow Satan any victory.

God has made you the victor! The question is, are you ready to get in the game? There are souls to win—and you're just the player to do it.
