"And ye shall compass the city, all [ye] men of war, [and] go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days" (Josh. 6:3).

When fear comes, seek the Lord. He will deliver you every time.

If you are in fear, you need to seek God. That is the first thing you should do so that the fear does not overcome you and oppress you.

You will never get to the place where you are oppressed if you don't allow yourself to get into fear. Conversely, if you are oppressed, then there is something that you are afraid of. If that fits your description, you need to seek the Lord.

Joshua went to God, to get his orders. God's orders were kind of crazy, but because He was God, Joshua would carry them out.

God's orders were to send the singers out in front of the soldiers. They would lead the army in marching around the city once a day for seven days. Then on the seventh day, march around the city seven times and then shout. Then the walls would fall. God told them, "The battle is not yours, but mine." In other words, "I've got your back."

You know it took faith to do that. It took trust in God and in Joshua, the General of the Army, to follow those commands. Well they did as God commanded, fear left and the walls of the city fell.

When we set ourselves to seek God about a situation, we must know that we will hear from God. He will give us instructions to follow. So follow them. He has only your good in mind.

The devil is doing all he can to kill you. But he obviously failed at that because you are alive reading this today! Ha! Ha! That had nothing to do with your smarts. It had everything to do with the mercies of God.

When others see you going through challenges, they are quick to write you off. God's mercy won't do that. His mercy will stay with you. The Holy Spirit will keep talking to you. That's what He does when you go to church.

He helps you to grow up. He protects you. He will still be there and have your back. He'll also have the thrill of seeing you receive all the blessings that he has for you.
