"Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I swore unto their fathers to give them" (Josh. 1:6).

There are some prerequisites to receiving your inheritance. He is saying to be strong and be of good courage. Why? In order to inherit your land, you have to be strong and you should have courage.

You cannot be a wimp in the army of the Lord. You have to stand up and realize that you can't have the things that any normal human being has and still live in God's blessings. God sees you as His own precious possession, and He wants you to have your inheritance and to keep it. He doesn't want it to slip through your hands like it did before you became a tither.

You are very important to God. He is concerned about everything you're concerned about. He sees you as precious and valuable no matter what you've done. You need to begin to see yourself that way so that you can walk in His blessings.

Now, Joshua 1:6 says to be strong and of good courage. Well, that's just the beginning. Later God says to be strong and very courageous. And in order to be strong and stay strong we must observe to do according to the law.

In other words, we must accept God's Word as the law in our life. Our attitude should be, "God said it. That settles it. That's the way it's going to be. I don't have to understand it. I don't have to like it. Because I trust my God and I know that He loves me and He's awesome in my life, I will do it because He said it." That's the attitude that will cause you to win.

When you get into the army of the Lord, the enemy attacks you. You must expect attacks. Otherwise, he wouldn't be an enemy. He is doing what an enemy does. So you have to be strong, be courageous, observe the word of God to know what to do, and meditate the Word all the time. When you do that, you inherit the land, you make your way prosperous, and you have good success.
