"And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing." (Isa. 10:27 KJV)

Ever since man first sinned, Satan has been trying to make people his slaves. He has clamped his yoke around their necks and loaded them down with sin, sickness, addictions, failure, lack of what they needed and every other evil thing hell could devise.

Every person who has ever been born—except Jesus—has felt the terrible weight of that yoke. We've all experienced the pain and frustration that comes from struggling free from something just to have Satan trip us up one more time.

For thousands of years, that yoke of bondage was the one thing that plagued mankind day in and day out. It looked like there would never be a way to break free. But, with the help of the Holy Spirit, the prophet Isaiah looked forward in time and saw Someone coming. He saw Someone coming Who would finally free us from Satan's slavery. He saw Jesus.

Now, to get the full impact of how much Jesus has freed you, read the verse above again. Notice it says that the yoke will literally be destroyed. That means it will be absolutely useless. It can't be repaired and put back on you. In fact, Isaiah was saying that Jesus would so annihilate the yoke, that there would no longer be any evidence that it was ever on your neck in the first place!

That means that every time you allow God's power to destroy a yoke in your life-whether it's an addiction, your need for money, bad relationships or some mistake you made-it is literally, utterly destroyed and cannot be used against you again. Satan can't pick it up and hold you in bondage with it anymore. It's been destroyed!

Now, that's good news!
