"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world" (1 Peter 5:7 KJV).

One of the greatest blessings in life is knowing that God cares for you. The devil will have you to think that you are the only one with a problem. So you isolate yourself and think no one cares. He tries to cut you off from everybody else, getting you to feel sorry for yourself or just plain mad at the world.

Then offense sets in and there you are, alone - isolated from the Word of God or anybody else that can help you. But God has given you instructions to overcome the cares of this life.

The last thing you need to do is isolate yourself. If you do miss the mark, if you do fall, if you do sin, find your way back to the house of God. And find your way to the people of God because that's where your help is. Don't fall for the trick of isolation and offense. We all know individuals who became offended at God and stopped going to church.

God does not suffer if you don't go to church. You are the one who suffers.

So take these instructions from 1 Peter 5: Be alert to what's going on, because your adversary the devil as a roaring lion is looking to devour you.

It didn't say he was lion. It says that he's walking around pretending like he's one. The devil's walking around looking for someone that will fall for his tricks. He brings circumstances that appear to be too strong for God.

But there is not a circumstance too strong for God. There is no situation that's too strong for God. There is no problem that you face that the Word of God can't slice it up and dice it in 10 million pieces and blow it way. There is nothing too strong for the Greater One on the inside of you, because greater is He that is in you than he that's in the world, and don't you ever forget it.

So don't fall for the tricks of the devil. Jesus loves you so much and cares for you so much that He left you instructions that are guaranteed to cause you to walk above all the adverse circumstances of this life. You are a winner in Him!
