Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
(Eph. 6:13 KJV)
The importance of "the whole armor of God" cannot be over emphasized. It is with these that the Christian is "able to withstand in the evil day." Our verse is preceded by the admonition to "put on the whole armor of God" so that we are made "able to stand against the wiles of the devil" (v.11).

To many, the only warfare they face on a daily basis is the one they can see. The simple truth is, though, that the true warfare of the whole human race is one against "principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (v.12).

Even the seasoned veteran of the faith can lose sight of the forces behind what is going on in the seen realm. Busy-ness tends to cause spiritual blindness and lull an individual into a vulnerable spiritual state prone to defeat.

Truth is still absolute in spite of what contemporary "thinkers" think and say. Truth will always bring ultimate victory. Righteousness will guard the vital parts of the soul. The Gospel of peace adjusts the atmosphere of any society and faith will never fail to "quench all the fiery darts of the wicked" (v.16), while those who have made Jesus both Lord and Savior wear a well disciplined mind filled with power and love.

People who enjoy real integrity of character are those who wield the "sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God" and meet with its Teacher daily in prayer and supplication.

Those who have "done all" and are yet able "to stand" are those who walk in the equipping of the Most High, availing themselves of the Word, the Spirit and the enabling power of His anointing; the "armor of God."

Today, take what God has offered so freely and walk enabled and empowered by virtue of that which is His whole armor.
