I've always loved beautiful landscaping and flower gardens. Especially coming from the south where it abounds in large quantities of trees and azaleas and fern growing everywhere.

When we moved to Fort Worth, Texas, it was prairie and mesquite trees. You had to believe God for a single tree! When the Lord gave us our land and buildings for the ministry, it was such a desire of my heart for the grounds to look beautiful all the time, and to be able to change the flowers out in all the beds seasonally.

I would go to the office and request a certain amount of money to buy landscaping and bedding plants, but never received enough to make it look completed. Many times I would give all the personal finances I could to help with the purchase of landscaping for the ministry—using it as seed that one day we would have enough. But we still never had quite enough.

A couple of years ago, my friend, Carmen O'Neill, and I and were on our way back from the garden center having purchased what we could on our limited budget. I was so disheartened because we have so many acres to landscape and only a fraction of what we needed to do it with—once again not enough.

I said to my friend, "I'm tired of this! I want you to agree with me in prayer. I'm asking God to either speak to someone to give to this ministry and designate the gift for landscaping, or either speak to someone to give me the flowers that we need."

So, we came into agreement right there in the ministry truck driving home.

Some time later, our prayer of agreement came to pass! We received a phone call from two ladies who own greenhouses. They wanted to bless the ministry and give the first fruits of their business! Hallelujah! They gave us 1,200 flats of pansies and various other annuals. It actually came to a place where I cried, "It's enough!"

I was even able to give and bless other ministries and people with the over abundance that I had. I've walked around for months still in a daze at how wonderful God is. He answered my prayer in a way that I think is more miraculous than if the money had been given to the ministry. He gave me the very flowers I asked Him for and that we agreed on.

Let's look at the prayer of agreement as Jesus taught in Matthew:
Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
(Matt. 18:19-20)
Don't put any limitations on that scripture—Jesus didn't. In order for Matthew 18:19-20 to work, there just needs to be two of us to agree and we have to be on the earth. That fits us. We qualify. Then all we have to do is agree in line with God's Word as touching any thing that we shall ask and the Bible says it shall be granted us.

Jesus is saying that wherever there are two people who are agreeing in prayer, He is right there to make it happen. Heaven will back us up. You may be mighty in prayer alone, but you can be mightier with someone joining you. There doesn't have to be a great number of people for the prayer of agreement to work. A husband and wife can become mighty partners in prayer.

I heard Brother Oral Roberts say that we need to get our minds off of the situation and visualize Jesus actually standing in the midst of us. If Jesus was standing there in the flesh, what would you do? You'd shout and praise God and jump up and down, wouldn't you?

You would also feel pretty confident that it was done because Jesus was present. Well, that's the way it is in the spirit realm. Jesus is right there in your midst listening to your request and ready to bring it to pass.

I have had so many prayer requests answered by following Matthew 18:19 using the prayer of agreement. It is so important that you find someone of like precious faith to pray with, pray for and call upon to get into agreement with you for certain needs or desires in your life.

God's Word works, and the prayer of agreement will work for you and for any Believer who will dare believe it and act on it!
