"Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear theeā€¦Thou shalt hide them in the secret of thy presence from the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues" (Ps. 31:19-20 KJV)

There is a secret place of the most High God. We want to answer the questions, what is this place and how do you get in it?

One of the ways to get in the secret place of the most High God is to fear and trust the Lord. The Word says in Proverbs 8:13, "The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the perverse mouth, do I hate."

We can see that one who fears the Lord is someone who has yielded their life to Him. Today we would say it is someone who has made Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior.

The believer is kept secretly in God's pavilion or layer. This pavilion is the place of God's presence. To stay in God's presence is to be in a place of thanksgiving, praise and worship. And there are benefits to being in God's presence.

The Bible tells us that when we praise God it stills the enemy and the avenger. Praise stops the devil. Praise is a place under the Almighty. It is a place whereby the anointing is released and the enemy is stopped. This comes forth from your prayer life, that time every day that you spend time before God in His presence.

So, how do you get in His presence? Thanksgiving, praise, worship, and communication in prayer between you and God takes you into the secret place. You enter into His presence when you thank Him for the blessing He has been in your life.

Notice that when you are in that place, certain things happen. In the presence of the Lord you are hid from the pride of man. And you are kept from the power of words against you.

When you are an individual who spends time before God, they may say all kinds of things against you, or do things to try and harm you, but because you are surrounded by that presence they cannot hurt you. So lift your hands and say, "Father, I thank you." When you do that, then you are in a secret place of protection.
