You told me in Your Word to present my body a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You. I recognize that if I am overweight and out of shape it will affect my ability to serve my family, my friends, and the work of the Gospel.
Your Word also says that if I walk in the Spirit, I will not fulfill the lust of my flesh. Holy Spirit, guide me in choosing the eating and exercise program that is best for me. Help me to make conscious lifestyle choices that will cause my body to function in health and vitality. Give me determination and courage to say no to health-destroying foods and substances. Show me how to incorporate a daily exercise routine into my schedule, and help me to discipline my body to follow that plan.
I thank You, Lord, for a healthy and fit body. I rejoice in the results I will see as I exercise and subject myself to You.
