"...They lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is.... And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together..." (Acts 4:24,31).

I want you to notice that when the disciples were gathered together in one accord, they lifted their voices unto God with singleness of purpose. When they came together in that kind of unity, the house where they were gathered literally shook like a leaf in the wind.

We believers need to realize that when we as the Body of Christ begin to unite ourselves together in the unity and the power of the Word of God, we are going to see some places shaken by the power of God that have never been shaken before.

You see, one reason God has been hindered from demonstrating His power in the fullness He desires is that believers have only united themselves together at times in unity and harmony.

The word "unity" carries with it the meaning of one mind, one aim, and one purpose. What is our mind, aim, and purpose to be centered around? It is to glorify God and to lift up Jesus Christ, because Jesus said, "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me" (John 12:32).

Unity comes as we forget about our different personalities and unite ourselves around the Word of God. As we do, we will see ourselves ushered into an age of God's power such as you and I have never seen.

The Word of God says, "Greater works shall you do because I go to My Father" (John 14:12). We have yet to see the greater works accomplished because we, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, have failed to unite ourselves as we should have. As a result, God has been hindered from moving as He desires.

I believe when the Body of Christ is in unity, every gift of the Spirit will be in operation, and every fruit of the spirit will be developed in our lives. Then and only then can the power of God be demonstrated fully.

In this last day before Jesus Christ Himself comes and splits the clouds of glory, I believe the Body of Christ will come together in one mind, one aim, and one purpose. Then we will see the power of Almighty God in demonstration as we have never seen it before!
