What do you think the world would look like without the influence of Jesus? If you could give the answer in one word, what would it be? A few words come to my mind: dark, evil, hateful, destructive, anarchist, immoral, unstable, unjust, etc.

We are only one generation away from that happening. I refuse to let that happen!

This generation of youth has been written off spiritually. They have been referred to as the lost generation, a generation without hope, a generation without a clue, etc. I intend to help them take back what has been stolen from them.
For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?
(Esther 4:14)
This verse has been on my heart for a number of years. It was as if God were speaking directly to our generation when Mordecai uttered these words.

We have been placed in the fray with a spiritually hungry generation. God is looking for someone who will represent Him. He desires us to take His love and acceptance to the individual and to the masses. And this generation is so desperately looking for spiritual reality.

You can see the effects of the search in their music, their media, their lifestyles and in the fact that record numbers of them are investigating different types of religion (Christianity, Zen, the occult, etc.).

The part we always emphasize is "And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this." The part, though, that God spoke to me was if we won't do it, God will find someone else who will do it. It was a challenge!

I don't want Him to have to look any farther than me. I have started praying Isaiah's prayer ("Here I am, Lord. Send me!" - Is. 6:8-9) with renewed fervency! God has entrusted this generation to us. It is our responsibility to reach them.

Many people's Christian life often consists only of building relationships with Christian friends because it's fun and relatively easy. It doesn't require much of them.

We have to change our focus to include REACHING THE WORLD. Outreach and evangelism stretch us. Remember that in the book of Acts their community had a continual influx of new converts. If we won't reach out to the lost, we will stagnate, become inbred and begin to die.

Think about the influence of that one man (Jesus) had on the history of the world. This generation is searching (actively) for spiritual reality. They are "looking for the Living among the dead..." (Luke 24:5). We must tell them! If we won't do it, who will?
