It is so important for the Body of Jesus Christ to realize that we must handle the wealth of this world in order to reach this world. The revival we are entering is of such a great magnitude that believers everywhere are going to be required to grow in all aspects in order to participate. That will certainly mean financial growth.

The prophet Haggai spoke of this revival of the nations:
...Yet once, it is a while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land; and I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory saith the Lord of hosts.

The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.
(Hag 2:6-9)
God declares that His glory will be revealed in the nations. In the middle of this prophecy He speaks of the silver and the gold being His. It may first seem to be out of place, but then you see that for the nations to be affected, and for the glory of God to be revealed in the house of God, the gold and silver must be moved out of the hands of the nations - the world - and into the hands of His nation, the Church.

There is a shifting of wealth ahead in the earth. Wealth is to come into the hands of godly men and women who will bring glory to God with it. The wealth of this earth is not here to satisfy the lusts and greed of the perverted. It is here to bring the freedom of Jesus Christ to the nations. It is to bring glory to God.

If you will not be afraid of the responsibility of wealth, God will show you how to increase in a greater measure.

Too many people have put the responsibility for their development and advancement in the hands of God, when He has clearly put it in their hands.

Galatians 6:7 says it this way: "A man's harvest in life will depend entirely on what he sows" (Phillips).

The context of this verse is the money given to those who teach the Word of God. You establish your own harvest by your giving to God's work.

In Galatians 6:8 Paul says, "For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."

Certainly, this verse reaches beyond the financial realm. But the context is regarding giving. Our giving and honoring God with tithes and offerings is sowing to the spirit. Your money reaches into the spirit realm!

You can see this is in the words of the angel of the Lord sent to Cornelius who had honored God:
There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, a devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God always.

He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius. And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
(Acts 10:1-4)
Here is a man hungry for the reality of God, reaching out in the only way he knew. He prayed and he gave. The angel said that his praying and giving had built a memorial before God. He had entered into the spirit realm with prayer and giving. The money he gave went up before God in the Spirit and became an evidence of his hunger and honor for God.

His faith and hunger for God resulted in the Apostle Peter receiving a vision that commissioned him to bring the gospel to the Gentiles as well as to the Jews (Acts 10:9-48).

Your praying and giving in faith bring your needs into the presence of God. It is the very evidence that you are looking to Him and not to your own ability to meet your needs or change your circumstances. When you honor Him, He will direct you and guide your steps.

There is a final aspect of what your giving will do that I must include here. In 2 Corinthians 9, the Holy Spirit through Paul summarizes this principle:
...He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.
(2 Cor. 9:6-8)
Paul said that all grace would abound toward you. The various aspects of grace, that bring God's ability to you for any area of life, will increase according to your giving and sowing into the kingdom of God.

That puts the growth and advancement in your life within your influence. Your willingness to honor God with your wealth, and to reach out in faith to give, brings you to a place of God's ability multiplying on your behalf.

To say it once again, Galatians 6:7 in the Phillips translation is the most powerful and clear summary of this entire subject: "A man's harvest in life will depend entirely on what he sows."

Your harvest can change if you will choose to sow the right seeds. Let God's grace for giving be multiplied in you.
