"He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake" (Ps. 23:2-3).

Every time I experienced drama in my life, it was because I didn't consult the Shepherd. Instead, I followed what looked good, felt good, and sounded good. On the other hand, every time I listened to the Shepherd instead of my flesh, I've had still waters and green pastures.

If you're going through big time drama in your life right now, you have wondered off from the Shepherd. Anytime you follow the Word and the leading of the Holy Spirit, you will prosper in every area of your life - guaranteed.

He leadeth me beside still waters. The word "leadeth" means to allow Him to lead you. It's a decision. In other words, you have a choice on who leads in your life: you or God.

First Peter 5:6 says, "humble yourself under the mighty hand of God that he may exalt you in due time." God has a due time for you. Now, how you arrive in your season is by allowing Him to lead you.

You see, your due time is coming. There is a season for restoration, for healing and for big time victory in your life - God is setting it up. But He has to get you in the right place, at the right time, and in the right situation.

He leads me beside the still waters and he restores my soul. The word "restore" means to fix something that has been broken; to bring back something that has been lost. That's the Shepherd's ministry; He will restore whatever you have lost or broken, but you have to allow Him to lead and guide you. Let Him continue to lead.

If you will take time before the Lord, you won't have all that drama in your life.

He leads me in the path of righteousness for his namesake. Now why is it for His namesake? Because we are God's representative in the earth. When people see you blessed, they will want what you have - the Shepherd.

But if they see you broke, sick, and on the way out - with a "woe is me" attitude - they'll look for something else. They already have enough drama in their lives. So it's in God's interest to have you prosper in all things. God isn't out to hurt you. He loves you. Allow the Shepherd to lead you to still waters and green pastures - follow Him.
