Spiritual things are created by words. Even natural, physical things are created by words! God, who is a Spirit, said, "Let there be an earth," and there was an earth. Jesus said, "Whosoever shall say…shall have whatsoever he saith" (Mark 11:23-24).
Atmospheres are created with words.
For example, if you go into a room where fish has been fried, the fish smell is still in the atmosphere. And if you go into a room where harsh words have been spoken, they also linger in the atmosphere. The air is heavy with them.
Children brought up in an atmosphere of wrong words become warped. They fail in life, because right words were not spoken to them.
Why is it that some children grow up strong and go out in life's fight and win? It's because the right kind of words were spoken in their home! Words make children love an education. Words bring children to church.
Confession: I create the very atmosphere around me with my words. I speak words of wisdom, God's words. I speak words of faith, God's words. I speak words of love, God's words. And the chambers round about me are filled with precious and pleasant riches!
