I believe that all good people will go to Heaven. I also don't believe that the Bible is the only source of eternal life. Yet, I still enjoy it and use it as a source of wisdom. Why do so many fundamental Christians disagree with me?

A fundamental Christian believes that the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
...and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
(2 Tim. 3:15-17 NKJ)

... knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
(2 Peter 1:20-21 NKJ)
If the Bible is the inspired Word of God, then we must take what it says very seriously. In our opinion, it is God speaking to us! The Bible tells us that good works alone are not enough for a man or a woman to make it to heaven.
Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him."
(John 14:5-7 NIV)
To understand the Bible, and have the faith that a fundamental or Bible-believing Christian does, you must meet and truly know the Author (Acts 9:1-21).

He is starting with a statement someone said - he isn't making that statement. He then shows how we need Jesus in order to go to Heaven. He isn't preaching a different gospel - just proving Jesus is the only Way! smilies/smiley.gif

I am not sure why this article was even put in here. He is very confused. The Word clearly says that Jesus is the only way to the Father. The kindest sweetest person alive, if they have not accepted Jesus and made him Lord of their lives, will die and go to hell. It is not goodness or badness, or even your sins that send you to hell, it is rejection of Jesus Christ. I think someone needs to read this article again..smilies/smiley.gif

Confusing Article

This article is confusing.
He makes a statement regarding he believes all good people will go to heaven-yet Jesus himself said I AM the truth the way the life NO ONE comes unto the Father except through me(which he also states)
I know a lot of good people ,they dont smoke, drink, cuss, gossip, are kind,considerate,loving.... but they don't acknowledge Jesus or God. Are you insinuating they will go to heaven ? If you are & impling there is no need of Jesus. Then why would He and the Father have made the sacrifice they made?

God Himself is the source of life both now and eternal,His son is the way to Him.The Holy Spirit is our preseent guide & comforter. The Bible is God's way of wisdom, teaching,& so much more,If not important God would not have seen fit to have any of it recorded old or new test.
What Gospel are you preaching?

Is there another source besides the bible to tell us how to get to heaven? How can you say all good people will go to heaven? If a person doesn't read the bible how will they know if they are doing God's will?
