Your Life Should Demand an Explanation

Anointed Word Daily Devotion for Youth
Written by Sean Moore
"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth" (3 John 2 KJV).

Prosperity is for you right now. Third John chapter two does not say, "Beloved, I wish above all things that when you graduate from high school you may prosper...." It simply says, Beloved, I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers. Which means, if you're twelve years old or if you're eighteen years old, God's will is for you to prosper right where you are.

Walking in the light of the Word of God means that your life should demand an explanation.

In other words, people should look at you and say, "I'm sorry...you are the same age as I am, and you seem to have it all together. Explain yourself. Why are you so blessed?"

Your life should demand an explanation even if you are twelve years old. You should be so filled with the Word of God that everyone you meet can see that there's just something different about you, because you're walking in blessings that some adults wish they had when they were your age.

For example, if you drive to school when you're sixteen years old with a new car, they're going to want some explanations. Every time the new school year comes up, you start out making A's. Every quiz - A, every project - A. When others can't understand it, you're acing it. They're struggling in class, and you're dominating in class. What's happening? Your life is demanding an explanation.

The way to walk in the blessings of God is to see yourself like God sees you. See success on the inside first, then it will happen on the outside. You may be struggling in school now, but see yourself smart. Then ask the Lord to show you how to dominate in all of your classes. And thank Him for it. He will begin to show you how to study, and show you how to pray.

See yourself fully supplied with all you need and want. See yourself dominating in this life. And as you keep that image inside of you, it will show up on the outside, because prosperity is for you now, right where you are.
