Devil, You Can't Have My Children!

Encouragement Daily
Written by Dwight Thompson
There is something you can do for your family to take dominion over the devil even in this immoral society. God's answer is found in Acts 16:31: "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."

If you have anyone in your family right now that is unsaved—a mother, a father, a husband or wife, a brother, sister, a grandma or grandpa...anyone, then open up your Bible right now and mark Acts 16:31 in red!

Circle it. Put today's date on it. Write down the exact time. Read Acts 16:31 over and over again. Memorize it. Let the Lord quicken that verse deep into your spirit.

"And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house" (Acts 16:31).

That is a promise from God! Get in faith and start claiming that promise for every unsaved loved one in your family. Make up your mind right now that you will start saying: "Devil, you will not get my children."

Are you to get into faith about that? You have been taught to stand on 1 Peter 2:24 for your healing. "Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed."

You understand that. You accept it. You know you have the scriptural right to claim your divine healing. Let Acts 16:31 sink deep into your spirit. Did you know you have the same scriptural right to claim salvation for each and every member of your family?

As a Child of God, you have been given that right! You have a scriptural, Biblical right to claim your children for God! The devil is powerless to destroy your family anytime he desires.

Read Acts 16:31 again. And again. Get it clear in your mind and your spirit today.

You know what I see in my spirit as you get in faith about Acts 16:31? I see your sons, your daughters, your mothers, your fathers, your husbands, your wives, your grandma and grandpa, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews... I see ALL coming to the Lord! I see them ALL getting saved in the Name of Jesus!

Yes, it is difficult. It takes a lot of faith to believe God when your children are drunkards, alcoholics, or drug addicts. It takes a lot of faith when you don't know where they are. It does take a lot of faith to stand up and say: "I know my children are going to be saved."

It is much more difficult for your child to spend an eternity in hell! Stand on Acts 16:31. To help you do just that, let me share with you the companion scripture. This scripture will help you grow in your ability to stand in faith.

"For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord, our God, shall call" (Acts 2:39).

God wants you, and your family, saved! It is time we accept that fact, and quit being passive about the things Satan is trying to do to destroy our families.
