Alive In Christ

by Tim Davidson | A Verse A Day

“For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.”

(1 Cor. 15:22)

Adam sinned by disobeying God in the Garden of Eden. This sin separated not only Adam from God but also all of his descendants. From that time on everyone needed a Savior. All mankind was separated from God by their fallen condition. Jesus is God?s solution to this problem.

The Message Bible says: “Everybody dies in Adam; everybody comes alive in Christ.”

It?s true all people are separated from God because of sin, through their union with Adam. But it is also true that, in the same manner, we are all raised to life because of our union with Christ.

As a born-again believer in Jesus, we have God?s sure word that we are restored to God in relationship and are made spiritually alive in Christ. In Jesus we are loved and enlightened. So let that His life shine out of you to illuminate the dark world around you.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

Adam brought death to all of us, and Jesus Christ brings life. I have been freed from death and now have the life of God to live my life today.
