All Sins Forgiven

by Tim Davidson | A Verse A Day

When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions.

(Col. 2:13 NASB)

At one time we were spiritually dead because of our sins and the evil state of our flesh. We didn’t try to be that way; we were born that way, with a fallen nature. This tendency toward sin came to us, as to all, from our identification with Adam’s sin. It separated us from a loving yet just God. But Jesus came to unite us together with God by going to the cross for us.

The Message Bible says: When you were stuck in your old sin-dead life, you were incapable of responding to God. God brought you alive—right along with Christ! Think of it! All sins forgiven.

God had Jesus Christ die for us and then He made us alive when He raised Jesus. God gave life to us and forgave all our sins. Jesus has removed all our failures and uncircumcised corrupt nature. No sin remains. All is forgiven. Jesus did it all.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

I am alive with Christ and I have complete forgiveness for all my sins.
