Outlook Express / Windows Mail
- Launch the Outlook Express/Windows Mail application.
- Select the Tools menu
- Choose Accounts
- [Outlook Express only] The Internet Accounts window will open
- Select View or change existing e-mail account radio button
- Click on the Mail tab
- Highlight your account name
- Click the Properties or Change button, or just double-click on the email account you want to update
- Click the Servers tab
- In the Password: field, type in your new password
- Click the Settings button
- The Outgoing Mail Server window will open
- Be sure Use same settings as my incoming mail server is selected
- Click the OK button.
- Click the Apply button
- Click the OK button.
- Click the Close button.
Mac Mail
- Launch the Mail application
- Select the Mail menu
- Choose Preferences from the list
- The Preferences window will open. Click the Accounts icon
- In the Accounts column on the left side of the window, highlight your account
- Click the Account Information tab
- Type your new password in the Password: field
- Click the Server Settings button. Information about your smtp settings will appear
- Type your new password in the Password: field
- Click the OK button.
- Click the red button in the upper left corner to close the preferences window
- You will be prompted to save your changes; click the Save button.
