Conquer In All Things—With Love

by Greg Zoschak | Uncategorized

One of the benefits of developing the fruit of love toward the Father is that it enables a person to conquer all things. According to 1 Corinthians 13:8, love never fails. Since God is love (1 John 4:8), this must mean that He can never fail.

Therefore, the more we develop our love for Him, then the less we will fail in our individual lives, for we know Him as Conqueror. Like Paul, we will then develop the attitude: “What shall we say then to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” (Rom. 8:31).

He Is For Us
As believers cultivate and develop love for the Father, an awareness of Him as Conqueror will increase, and confidence in His willingness and His ability to make them conquerors will become manifest in their lives. “God is for me” is quite a confident statement.

But there are many Christians today who cannot proclaim it honestly from their hearts. When they encounter trials and temptations, they feel that they are all alone. The reason for this feeling is simply that they have not developed an individual love relationship with the Father.

However, when a believer does take the initiative and does develop that relationship, then like Paul he will confidently ask: “Since God is for me, who can be against me?” The answer, of course, is no one, for God is Conqueror of all.

Desiring to conquer the works of the enemy in their lives, many Christians quote the familiar promise contained in Romans 8:28 without fully realizing the condition attached to it: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

All things work together for the good of whom? The answer is clearly stated: “…them that love God.” The more believers love God, the more they will conquer trials and the more things will work together for their good.

Run To His Presence
It is possible to go through trials and for the good received from those trials to be limited; but as a person’s love for God grows and matures, he will discover that his trials are working good for him to a greater and greater degree.

In the midst of our trials, it is possible for us believers to measure the extent of our love relationship with God. If we find ourselves fearfully running from the arms of the Lord instead of cleaving to Him, then it is probable that a need exists in our lives to cultivate a greater love relationship with our heavenly Father.

Since good come from being in His presence, then the trials of life will result in those trials working together for our good.

Greg Zoschak's lifelong ambition was to become a professional football player, and became born again through the influence of his high school coach. Years later, Greg began to feel a call to the ministry, but football kept tugging at him as well. A motorcycle accident later on forced him to discontinue his pursuit of football; at that time, his ambitions began to change and pull him toward God.

Greg began in the ministry by enrolling in a Bible training center and later began serving and traveling in the ministry as an associate pastor. Through experiencing God's faithfulness time after time, Greg and his wife came to know more fully Who God is as they saw Him in a greater dimension.

During these last days, Greg's ministry has become focused on the hearts of families. Burning within him is a desire to see families restored by God's grace. This will be accomplished as God's people learn and exercise the fruit of the Spirit on a daily basis in their homes.

As a husband of a virtuous wife and the father of two special children, Greg knows the importance of peace within the family. He is focused now on helping families cultivate internal peace and experience a spiritual revival in their relationships and commitments to one another.
