Delivering Results

by Steve Marr | Articles, Business

In your job, do you talk a good game or really produce solid results?

King Solomon wrote, “mere talk leads only to poverty” (Proverbs 14:23, NASB).

Effective bosses have a way of remembering statements of what you said you will accomplish in the future.

When making commitments to your boss, remember three keys.

  1. Never promise what you cannot deliver.
  2. If you have roadblocks, explain those issues in advance.
  3. Ask in advance for any resources needed to complete the task.

Keep these rules in mind, and you will deliver effectively on your future commitments and build credibility.
