Do You Have an Invitation?

by Keith Butler | Devotions, The Anointed Word

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (Rom. 8:28 KJV).

I will show you two categories of individuals that are invited to live a life of peace and joy in the Lord. The first is found in Romans 10:13. The second is found in Matthew 11:28. Let’s take a closer look.

Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Whosoever means whoever. So the first category of individuals is whoever calls on the name of Jesus. Are you a whosoever? Of course you are. You are the one that has been invited. You are the one to whom God is saying, “Come on into the House of the Lord.”

The second category we will look at is found in Matthew 11:28: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest….” That word “labor” means those that feel fatigued and work hard. Have you ever been fatigued, and feel as though you work so hard?

Jesus is talking to you. If you’ve ever been over-burdened then you are invited to come to Jesus. He has reserved rest just for you. That is, He has ease, relief and refreshment for all that labor and are overburdened from working so hard.

When the pressures of life seem to beat your down, then you can go to God in prayer, in the wonderful name of Jesus. And when you go to Him and pray in the Spirit, or pray in other tongues you could say, then all things will work out for your good. Hence, ease, relief and refreshment comes to whoever calls on the name of the Lord.

All things will cooperate because you are praying in the Holy Ghost, allowing Him to pray God’s perfect will about that situation. And if all things are cooperating then whatever is required to happen will happen. If the weather has to cooperate, then it will.

If other people have to cooperate, then they will. If money has to cooperate then it will. All things must cooperate to benefit you. The way it happens is that through your prayers, God comes in and manipulates anything or anybody, or does whatever is necessary, in order to bring a benefit to you.
