Do you insist that your staff listens when you give instructions?
King Solomon repeatedly said, “give attention to my wisdom and incline your ear to my understanding” (Proverbs 5:1, NASB).
When communicating key information to staff, ensure you have full attention.
Start by stating you have important information to pass on. Wait until you have full attention, make eye contact and speak clearly. If they are distracted, wait for complete attention.
If appropriate, ask them to take notes.
Ask them to repeat back what was said and follow up any misunderstandings.
Staff will become more effective!
