Don’t Settle For Fear

by Creflo A. Dollar | Articles, Christian Living

Many people today are apprehensive about the future. The Father warned us about this increasing fear and the dangers associated with it. Men swooning away or expiring with fear and dread and apprehension and expectation of the things that are coming on the world; “for the very powers of the heaven will be shaken and caused to totter” (Luke 21:26 AMP).

No matter what evil reports the media, economists or doctors give us, we must choose to walk in confidence rather than fear. We do not settle for fear, because we remember, “God is with me.” We say, “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Heb. 13:6 NKJV)

We talk to Him every day. We’re in love with Him, and we know He is in love with us and won’t let anything happen to us. Jesus said: “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows” (Matt. 10:29-31).

If we fully realized our Father’s infinite power and love for us, we would no longer walk in fear. God is the One who created us. He is aware of everything going on with us. He is so aware of who we are that He even knows the number of hairs on our heads.

Now, some people think that because God is aware of them, He will take responsibility for them. But being aware of them and being responsible for what’s going on with them are two different things.

He’s aware of the situation. Yes, He’s aware of the problem. But He’s also aware of what they may have done to cause the harvest of that problem to come into their lives. The Bible says our harvest is based on the seeds we sow. If we don’t like our harvest, we need to change the seed.

Nothing just happens. No, usually something we’ve done or are doing causes it to happen. If we’ll cultivate our love relationship with God, He can help identify what the problems are. If we’ll pray and open ourselves up to fellowship with God, He can help us out of our dilemmas. He’s aware of what we need to do. He knows the way out.
