Established And Anointed

by Tim Davidson | A Verse A Day

“Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God.”

(2 Cor. 1:21 NASB)

To be established in Christ means to be made stable and steadfast through union with Jesus the Anointed One. He has given us His grace so we can always be steady and unwavering no matter what we face. You have been set apart for God’s divine use.

The Message Bible says: “God affirms us, making us a sure thing in Christ, putting his Yes within us.”

Do you realize that it is God Himself who makes your faith strong and makes it possible for you to stand together with Christ? God is also the one who chose you and anointed you for His glory. Because of that you can face your future without fear, knowing that God is in you and nothing will overcome you. We must always be totally confident in the loving, saving help of our Lord Jesus.

Today’s Thought to Take With You:

I am established in Christ and anointed by Christ. Jesus is inwardly strengthening me today.
